Final Fantasy VIII brings you a new type of mini-game - Cards. You will obtain a few cards at the beginning of the game and use these to build up you card collections. Apart from looking pretty, cards can also be modded into extremely useful items, and as a rule of thumb, the rarer the card the better the item. This alone should be enough to turn you into an avid card collector.
