Auron is the legendary guardian who defeated the evil Sin ten years ago together with Braska, Yuna's father. Auron also stood by Tidus when the city of Zanarkand was destroyed: Tidus owes his first sword to Auron.
A man of few words, Auron lets his powerful blade do the talking. He joins the group in order to defeat Sin once and for all.
Although Auron is one of the group's most powerful fighters in close combat, he is somewhat sluggish and cannot take on opponents under water.
